ReactJS is a Javascript library for building interactive user interfaces. The aim of this workshop is to get familiar with ReactJS by exploring some of its fundamentals. You will learn how to make a simple gif search app using the GIPHY API. You don’t have to have web development experience, we’ll guide you through the basics during the day. We’ll send you some reading before the workshop to help you get the best out of the day.

Katri Selonen

Katri is a software developer at Futurice. Her background is in analytic mathematics, but she started coding quite young and has done different hobby projects before becoming a full-time developer. Katri’s current focus is on web frontend development with React. She loves coding because it constantly provides problems to solve and learning opportunities. Especially the visual nature of frontend development appeals to her

Susanna Hyötyläinen

Susanna is a passionate Frontend Developer with a few years of experience as a Software Developer. She has done multiple projects with React & Redux at Futurice. She’s interested in user-centric design and usability. At her free time, she enjoys exploring CSS animations as well as hiking in the forest.

Lotta Skogström

Lotta works at Futurice as a software developer, mainly focused in frontend web development. She has worked in projects with React, Typescript and most recently with Vue.js. She enjoys creating user interfaces that are usable, accessible, interactive, visual and offer a great user experience. At Futurice she has also helped to organise events such as meetups, workshops and a code school for children. In her free time she likes to do yoga, take photographs and travel.
